Do teams go by ages or grade levels?

We assign to teams by age as of Aug. 1. starting with 7 years old to 18 years old.

What competitive teams do Hawks play?

We schedule games with other competitive homeschool teams or Christian schools in the surrounding area.

Is traveling involved?

Yes, when joining our competitive league you are committing to attending away games. Expect to travel around 1-hour for 3-4 regular season games on younger teams, more on older teams. Older teams go as far as Fort Wayne plus over state lines to surrounding areas. Nationals tournament takes place in Springfield, MO for a week.

What if I don't want to travel?

If you're unable to commit to away games and tournaments, we would encourage you try our recreational league instead that takes place twice a year in the spring and fall.

When does the season begin?

Registration for our competitive league goes live in August. 

How long is the season?

Practice starts in October, games begin in November and wrap up in February. Nationals takes place in mid-March in Springfield, MO. 

How often do teams practice?

Teams typically practice 2-3x a week, usually depending on the availability of the coach & players. On average, younger teams are 2x a week while older teams are 3x a week.

Where are practices and home games?

We practice and play home games at Brooks Gym, part of the Berea Bible Church campus.

How do we pay registration fees?

Registration fees can be paid when registering online using a credit card. If you would rather pay via check or cash, you'll need to connect with our treasurer or mail payment to our P.O. Box. 

What if I change my mind?

Once you register, you have until the end of October to pay your fees. If you try it out and decide its not for you, you can cancel anytime before the end of October and your season will end.
